Color: Copper red, due to oxidation and wasting the green patina (malachite) can be originated.
Basic information: crystallizes in the cubic system. The crystals are rare, mostly sheet, hairy and dendritic aggregates. Native copper occurs in deposits of copper sulphide ores.

Moh’s scale hardness is 2.5-3. Jagged, hackly fracture. Coppery red streak and metallic luster. It is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity.
