Product Description

Teeth shark

The teeth of shark species Otodus obliquus who lived from the lower Paleocene to lower Eocene before about 66-48 milion years have been excaveted in Morocco .

Sharks are cartilaginous fish which is why only the teeth are preserved in fossil form. Based on tooth size and the few preserved fossil vertebrae, it was concluded that this species was long up to 9 meters . It is assumed that gender Otodus is progenitor of the genus Carcharocles ( Carcharodon ) .
